Rare Wedding Showcase
Hooray - I’ve been featured in the new 2009 Rare Wedding Guide! I’m so excited that momentum is picking up for the wedding side of my business and am thrilled about the new couples that I will get to meet as a result!
Narissa was truly striking in her backless dress as she ascended the long staircase with her father. I remember tearing up a little bit (yes, I still cry at weddings!) at the beginning, but I somehow managed to keep it together.
Beautiful details, plus a super sweet bride, made for a happy photographer! :)
Also, I’ll be doing my first ever bridal show - watch out world! - on November 15th. If you are a newly engaged couple, or know some folks getting married, please send them my way!

The Golden Boot
For the first time in my life, I’m happy to get “the boot”! The Golden Boot, that is. Sorry to the delay in notification my dear blog friends, but I did indeed win the award for the Best Product Photographer from Fashion Week Austin. Thank you, thank you, thank you - I am absolutely beaming with joy to have this bad boy on my desk!!!

The Greene Fam!
I feel in love with Sophie pretty much instantly. Her demure smile is heart-wrenchingly endearing. I can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Greene family in only a matter of months! :)

To say that my dad is a “jack of all trades” would be an under-statement. Just to name a FEW of his regular activities, he’s an auctioneer, blacksmith, travelling medicine man, landscape designer, bonsai/kettle cooking/japanese garden building/wildflower hiking instructor at the John Campbell Folk School, among other things…. So when he began his new venture “The Anvil Shoot”, I was hardly surprised. He “shoots the anvil” at conferences and special occasions all over the U.S., including the one I documented below at my cousin’s wedding! So if you never get the chance to enjoy it in person, you can at least witness it vicariously through me! :)
First up, levelling the ground and laying the anvil at an angle against the spin of the hemisphere…
Then assuring a good seal with caulk!
And make sure you add plenty of gun powder!
And lay the second anvil right side up on top of the first anvil!

And KER-POW!!!
The landing…
This 3 day event took place at the Belmont and was broadcast *LIVE* via Polycom’s HD video conferencing technology to 9 different cities! The gallery is up and full of musical eye-candy! Skyrocket, Blind Date & more!
